I believe, in a little bit, it will grow into a poem.<br /><br />You remarked upon the loss I described in "No Bells." She was a friend I made nearly 30 ago. We were each raising little kids, two of whom were in the church group I pastored. We live(d) 200 miles apart these days. She recently was in town and asked if we could have coffee. Had I known (but how could I?) it would be the last chance to reconnect, I would have readily agreed. I will see Karon again someday. But now I sorrow at my thoughtless excuse for not taking time to share a cup of kindness with an old friend.<br /><br />I am enjoying our connection. That taming busine...I never read the Little Prince. That taming business is golden, though. I love the idea and how this passage shifts it away from control, which is how I often see taming. This week was glorious. I have never looped before, so getting to see how we have tamed each other over the past year has been wondrous. It really feels like a homecoming.
