I can only imagine a passerby might suspect you were a tad tipsy.

Looking out my window at the bare trees surrounded by a thick layer of brown leaves, it's almost hard to believe it was all so beautiful just ten or eleven days ago. It's like the fog that sometime sets in during the early morning. Look away for a moment and suddenly it will have completely disappeared. I know your surgery is a bummer (which is probably putting it lightly) but if nothing else you were afforded an opportunity to enjoy the fall leaves before they were gone. And to do it on a day when you would usually be at school somehow makes it more special.

I can't wait for spring. I strongly dislike winter - even with the mild SC temperatures.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5578299375433383985.post-637158262347469912011-11-23T07:02:06.906-08:002011-11-23T07:02:06.906-08:00Oh Tim, you take my breath away with your ability ...Oh Tim, you take my breath away with your ability to create a feeling, a moment in time when I am with you; caught up and totally unconscious of anything around me. This post created such a moment for me. What a glorious autumm day I had with you, catching the falling leaves as they floated down around me--all while sitting at my office desk surrounded by work to be done. Thanks. You are a writer like no other. I have been so caught up in craziness of late that I have not been writing or even reading blogs. I am so glad I took the time today.

I have missed you at Food Not Bombs. Now I know why. I hope you are on the mend.

Have you ever read the children's book Freddy the Leaf? It is a lovely book about the last leaf to fall and is one that teaches children in a gentle way about the cycle of life of which death is an inevitable part. I recommend it to you.

Thanks again for sharing yourself with your readers. Your gift is amazing.Judy Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15345722113065788774noreply@blogger.com
